Our Leaders
After years of working with iconic hospitality and design firms, Rebecca founded Denton House Design Studio in 1996. For the past decade, Denton House and Discovery Land Company have operated Discovery Design, where Becky has overseen operations including planning, design, and architecture for Discovery communities. Most recently, Becky was COO of Discovery Land Company, overseeing strategic acquisitions while leading all aspects of community planning, design, development, and startup operations.
Becky's portfolio of high-profile projects has been widely recognized throughout the hospitality and luxury residential real estate industry. Her extensive experience in strategic community placemaking and use of "experience engineering" to promote new marketing and selling resort real estate is sought after by owners and fellow developers alike.
He is also known to bring a smile to his employees around the office with his kind nature. When he isn’t working, and traveling around the world handling a million project details, he enjoys spending time with his beautiful children and grandchildren.
Tom began his luxury hospitality and development career with Marriott International, Inc., spending ten years in a variety of finance roles, mainly under the Ritz-Carlton brand. During his time at Ritz-Carlton, Tom led strategic initiatives ranging from the development and launch of new brand extensions to consulting with individual properties in repositioning them to become relevant and profitable in the marketplace. During his time in Marriott's Global Treasury Department, Tom was the primary relationship manager for 30 revolver banks and led Marriott's global cash operations through the global financial crisis of 2007-2008.
Other key positions include CFO of Discovery Land Company; CFO of Augusta National, Inc.; and CFO of Talisker Mountain, Inc. At Augusta National, Tom implemented a new capital planning and execution process that completed the most extensive capital plan in company history. He also launched a multi-year improvement project for the supply-chain process with the first phase set to yield more than $1 million in annual profit improvements.
